Good or Bad?
I'm still not sure how I feel about Holden. He confuses me, yet at the same time I feel like I understand him. At this point I feel like he is just a normal teenager. He has his moments where he is really nice and pleasant, those are the times that I can put up with him. I'm not okay with his attitude most of the time. He tends to be very judgmental, impolite, and lies a lot. However I think this is where I learn more about him because I can see what's really inside his head and what he is most like.

Yeah, Holden is a very confusing character. He has a lot of different sides that come out at different times. I definitely like him better when he's talking about Allie or Jane than when he's lying to strangers. I think that that's when we really get a glimpse inside his head rather than the wall he puts up for other people.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with you, he is very confusing and almost bipolar, I feel that he is at his best when he is with people that are almost like him, but when he is with more cheerful people, that just makes him depressed and that's when his anger really shows.
