Who is the 'American Teenager?
I don't really think you can define the 'American Teenager' but that's what makes the 'American Teenager' unique. They have the freedom to be who they want; if one teenager wants to go and be a dancer, they can; if another teenager wants to drop-out of school and work a minimum wage job, they can. Some of the choices might be frowned upon but as long as they are not breaking the law you can't do anything. The way they look doesn't matter. They can be what is considered a 'jock', 'nerd', and 'goth', a 'prep', 'band geek', and 'overachiever'. They have the freedom to dress and look how they want, act how they want, and live how they want. The 'American Teenager' doesn't have a look or a definition. But that's the beauty of it.
The 'American Teenager' is every teenager in America.
